Pro to, abyste na tento projekt mohli jet je nutné, abyste vlastnili nejen občanský průkaz (který musíte mít ze zákona), ale také platný cestovní pas (s platností min. ještě 150 dní od datumu začátku vámi vybraného projektu).

V rámci programu Evropský sbor solidarity jsou následující finanční specifika: v rámci všech projektů ESC je kompletně (ze 100 %) zajištěno jídlo, ubytování, aktivity, povinné doplňkové pojištění u pojišťovny Henner, jazykový kurz, místní doprava, a to vše je zcela pokryto z fondů EU programu Evropský sbor solidarity a zařízeno organizátory. Účastníkům dále budou proplaceny cestovní náklady (v případě tohoto projektu) ve výši max. €395 z místa bydliště do místa konání projektu a zpět.

Účastník musí:

• Být ve věku 18-30 let;
• Být zaregistrovaný na portálu ESC (v případě, že máte s registrací problém, řiďte se tímto návodem)
• Mít zájem o dobrovolnictví a tento projekt;
• Ovládat angličtinu alespoň na úrovni B1

Accommodation, food and transportation arrangements:

Volunteers are accommodated in a dormitory in individual or shared rooms. Volunteers need to cook for themselves (food allowance and pocket money will be provided). Some of the work tasks take place within walking distance from the accommodation. A car transportation to work tasks is provided when necessary. Main services locate within walking distance. Public transportation is available to
nearby cities. Mandatory costs are covered according to programme rules.

Training: Volunteers will participate in on-arrival training. Task related support and mentoring will be provided.

Volunteer profile:

We would like to receive active volunteers who are motivated to work together with local community. Some tasks are done outdoors so volunteers need to be prepared to work despite the weather. Working hours will change according to tasks, so volunteers need to be flexible.

1. Take Care of Greenspaces and Local Culture

The rural municipality of Siikajoki in Northern Ostrobothnia offers many opportunities for people who enjoy nature and active communities.

Take care of greenspaces and local culture is a volunteering team project. A team of 8 volunteers will work together with the local community to create activities and increase involvement. Volunteers will work in versatile task in caring and upkeeping greenspaces. In addition, the volunteers participate in planning and implementation of communal events to celebrate local culture.

Tasks include eg.:

• maintenance of the outdoor venues (parks, playgrounds etc)
• planning and implementing activities with local residents
• creating and participating in communal and cultural events

2. Work with Kids & Out in the Nature

In this project a team of eight (8) volunteers will work together with local 4H association in versatile tasks to create activities for local children and youth as well as participating in annual agricultural fair. Volunteers will also work in tasks to improve the state of nature.

Volunteers‘ tasks include:

1. planning and implementing day camp activities for children/youth
2. organizing activities for local agricultural fair
3. recovering threatened coastal plant species and their habitats
4. removal of invasive species
5. producing photos and videos

3.  Appreciate Local History and Nature

The rural village of Lampinsaari in Northern Ostrobothnia offers many opportunities for people who enjoy nature.

This one is for history and nature enthusiastics! In this project a team of five (5) volunteers will work in the core activities of the local association in the small rural village of Lampinsaari in Northern Ostrobothnia, Finland. During its heydays, the zinc mine in the village was the largest in Europe. Today the story deserves to be told to new generations. Volunteers will participate in preserving and celebrating local history.

Lampinsaari attracts people with beautiful nature and tranquility. Volunteers will maintain local nature trails by eg. removing vegetation and clearing debris to ensure safe access. In addition, they will  plan and implement community activities.
