Popis projektu:

Main aim of the project:

More than 80% of the world’s adolescent population is insufficiently physically active. In recent years, there has been a shift in the lifestyles of various age groups, including children, especially in their late childhood. From the start of COVID the situation even got worst. Unlike children a few decades ago, youth today are leading increasingly sedentary lifestyles that involve time spent on computers, phones and watching TV. This lifestyle leads them to neglect the physical activity that has been typical to this developmental period.

Outdoor for All aims to improve the quality of youth work by raising the competencies of youth workers and educators in using of outdoor as a tool supporting the inclusion in daily work.

The objectives of the project are:

  • To raise youth workers‘ and educators‘ competencies of using the outdoor as a tool supporting the inclusion in daily work
  • To raise youth workers‘ and educators‘ competencies on empathizing and defining the needs of their target groups
  • To raise youth workers‘ and educators‘ competencies on developing, prototyping and testing outdoor activities supporting the inclusion in the local communities
  • To raise youth workers‘ and educators‘ competencies on involving youth in developing inclusive outdoors Erasmus+ projects
  • To develop and disseminate a guidebook of experiences and practices on how to develop outdoor for all

Project activities:

  • Training course (A1) to equip youth workers and educators in competencies to efficiently develop outdoor supporting the inclusion in daily work, based on the needs of their target groups.
  • The local stage in partner promoters‘ communities, where the youth workers and educators will apply the gained competencies to implement outdoor activities and prepare feedback on how the process went, working practices for the guidebook.
  • A seminar (A2), where the youth workers together with one young person per organisation, develop inclusive outdoors Erasmus+ projects and contribute to developing and dissemination of the guidebook. The best practice of other partner promoters will be taken into consideration.
The participants will be equipped with the skills to efficiently write and implement projects supporting inclusion on the international level.

Both activities will take place in Zakopane, the second seminar is going to take place in the shelter in the National Park (soon I will be able to confirm more details).

Participants‘ profile:

Youth workers and educators aged between 21-38, who are:

  • familiar with outdoor activities or motivated to acquire them as an educational method.
  • eager to transfer gained knowledge to the youth in their organizations and countries.
  • ready to engage themselves in different local and international projects using outdoor activities as a learning method.
  • committed to working during the whole project, meaning also the outdoor activities in local communities,
  • willing to attend Seminar mobility on 06-12.11.2023 (more than half of participants from each partner country attending the Training Course will be a part of the Seminar which takes place in November).
